A Complete Synopsis Of The Hit Movie Mad Max 2

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Mad Max 2, also known as the Road Warrior, is simply put, one of the greatest action films ever created. It might even be one of the greatest films of all time, period, depending on your perspective. It is, at the very least, one of the most well crafted films in existence, one of the most well told, with clarity and coherence even amidst all the chaos the story provides. This is the one that made Mel Gibson a household name, and certainly one of the must download movies of all time.

There really aren't many movies out there that work so perfectly on so many levels. In the pantheon of action films, it's comparable to Robocop, and not much else. It's very strong, full of drama, action and, at times, humor and even tragedy.

If you haven't seen it, and somehow have no idea what it's about: Mad Max Rockatansky is a former cop wandering a wasted outback in Australia. Food and water have become scarce after World War III, as has gasoline. Max is trying to find enough resources just to keep himself alive from day to day as he wanders across the wasteland.

Throughout the previous film, Max lost touch with his humanity, becoming just as cruel and ruthless as the villains he pursued. This time, he needs to take a chance at redemption and at getting in touch with his humanity once more by getting involved once more with society, or what's left of it.

The movie is essentially one long chase scene, stopping here and there just long enough to give us a breather and some more character and story development. Of course, the majority of character and story is developed through the action, which is how it's supposed to be. Too often, action is only thrown in to get in the way of the story and put the viewer's brain on pause. Here, the action IS the story, just as it was in the days of the old westerns.

The movie is really all about the nature of heroism. It gets into the Joseph Campbellian concepts of mythology and comes out with a legendary story that many Australians consider "The Australian Star Wars" in terms of cultural importance. It is, of course, one of the national treasures of the Australian cinema, and one of the most successful films ever to come from that country.

The movie is really a western and deserves to be classified alongside films like Stagecoach and The War Wagon as one of the all time great action packed adventure films.

The movie is loud, spectacular, full of crazy characters and stunts, and, perhaps, one of the ten greatest films ever made, depending on how you evaluate films on a personal level. At the very least, it is one of the most well crafted and well told action stories of all time, and certainly belongs on your download queue if you haven't seen it yet.

It seems that Americans are very valuable in this grotesque game. Movie Downloading Sites "I think that's true, combined with contributing to the artistic process. Are you still hoping that some day youll get to dust off your sax and join the local jam session'

Capture The Moment

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Pro photographers have known for years the spellbinding ability to just capture a minute when they press the shutter at just the right millisecond. Occasionally such moments can be planned, and often they can not. Occasionally they're just there, and you've got to snap it without thought for composition or lighting or any of the other elements everyone knows are vital for quality photography.

As an example, you can plan for an image full of the energy of the wind when somebody or a vehicle crosses the line of sight.

Or when you know something provoking is prepared to happen, like the arriving of a baby, having a camera prepared for that first moment of life could lead to a wonderful picture. Such life moments can be caught if you are prepared with your capability and talent and apparatus.

That moment when just the right elements come together for surprising composition, is often nothing that you may have planned or set up. Latterly my partner and I escaped and spent a weekend in the mountains where, one evening at dinner, we were seated on the veranda of the dining room. Just as our salads were served, the sun moved from behind clouds and the brilliant metal roofs of mountain homes were illuminated across the meadow. Bright red and green and blue and gray roof colors flooded our senses as if a bucket-full of marbles had been tossed against the green and brown mountainside.

The sight was so full of energy and potential that we could hardly talk with the vibrancy of it all.

That moment wasn't planned. It just took place. Often such experiences can be imagined ahead of the circumstance. As an example, you know a crop moon will be a powerful sight, and you can make arrangements for shooting it by being in the right spot at the right time. The unpredictable can be made simply manageable with a little forethought.

You can visualize what could be, before it really occurs. Demonstrating patience may open doors for a range of abnormally composed photos, especially if you would like to attend on just the right natural light, or shade, or form or energy.
